Nick Talarico brings more than 15 years of experience in sales, consulting, ecommerce, and supply chain management to his role as Chief Operating Officer for Do it Best Group. With a proven track record of leadership and innovation, Nick oversees companywide operations, helping drive the continued growth and success of Do it Best, True Value, and their independent home improvement retailers while advancing strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, profitability, and market competitiveness.

Before being named Chief Operating Officer, Nick served as President of Do it Best, a position he assumed in November 2024. In that role, he led key operational and strategic priorities across the company, supporting the continued growth of member-owners and helping guide the integration of Do it Best and True Value.

Previously, Nick served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, where he led key divisions including Lumber and Building Materials, Sales and Business Development, and Marketing. He was instrumental in crafting highly effective strategies that supported members in expanding their businesses, acquiring new opportunities, and navigating an evolving marketplace.

Prior to joining Do it Best, Nick consulted on the company’s business processes as an outside auditor with Crowe Horwath, LLP. He became part of the team in 2009 as manager of internal audit, working and consulting with the board of directors, member-owners, and executive leadership. In 2014, he transitioned to divisional manager in merchandising, where his insights and keen understanding of the sales cycle helped provide the right merchandise mix to members. Two years later, he was promoted to vice president of sales and business development, leading a team committed to helping members grow their businesses while attracting new members.

Appointed vice president of ecommerce in early 2022, Nick led an expanded ecommerce team focused on increasing customer counts and traffic through all avenues of ecommerce, helping members capture the growth that comes with ecommerce excellence.

Nick is a Certified Public Accountant, inactive, and holds a management degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
